Responding to the situation in Ukraine to Congress, the Congress said it was important to remember that India's Air Force and Navy had generally tried to save Indians during the Gulf War, Lebanon, Libya and Iraq without engaging in partisan propaganda. Effective mission was performed. Congress said that Russia and Ukraine, as well as NATO, should hold open and honest dialogue to restore peace and find a long-term solution to all difficulties. It is the responsibility of the Government of India to do everything possible to bring back our citizens. We are deeply concerned about the safety of Indian students and civilians trapped in conflict zones. Congress demanded an early cessation of all hostilities, as well as the establishment of geographically defined humanitarian corridors for safe evacuation.
