The 600 MW Kameng Hydroelectric Project in Arunachal Pradesh has been dedicated to the nation by PM Modi
- The project is spread over 80 kms in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh at a cost of about ₹8200 crore.
- “The establishment of the 600 MW Kameng Hydro Power Station, the sixth hydroelectric power plant in the Northeast in Arunachal Pradesh, will be a major step towards meeting the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) of the Government of India pledged under the Paris Agreement 2015.

- This project will be part of "Expected hydro power capacity addition of 30000 MW by 2030," the power ministry said in statemen
- The project consists of two dams and a power plant with four 150 MW units. Which can produce 3,353 million units of electricity.
- As a result, Arunachal Pradesh will have a power surplus. Which will have a positive impact on the stability of the grid and the integration and balancing of solar and wind energy sources.
- Progressively from June 2020 to February 2021, NEEPCO Limited (a Government of India Enterprise and Maharatna, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited) took up the project.
- The function was attended by the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (retd).
- Union Minister for Law and Justice, Kiren Rijiju, Chief Minister of the state, Pema Khandu, its Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Meen and Member of Parliament, Nabam Rebia attended the ceremony.
